Expanding local manufacturing company needs a Sourcing Manager for high volume department.  Candidate will be responsible for cultivating relations with suppliers and new vendors for all raw materials.  Negotiate pricing and develop new lines of purchasing.  This is a “hands-on” job with no staff.  Our client needs someone that can develop new vendors, make the deal and move on to new product lines.  This position includes sourcing all materials for several plants, all raw materials including food, pharmaceutical and bottling products.  Visit vendors for quality control of items produced;  Conduct supplier confidential surveys to benchmark how suppliers perform versus your competition in your supplier’s eyes;  Strong negotiating skills.

Experience:
Candidate should have a bachelor’s degree and 5-10 years of experience at a manager level actually performing sourcing, purchasing, negotiating contracts and follow through.  An excellent opportunity for someone with solid purchasing experience.  Should have CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) and FDA experience a major plus.  Highly skilled in data analysis, manipulations and presentation to include software skills with Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Visio and Access.  

Compensation:
Salary range $70,000 to $80,000 commensurate with education and experience.  Some travel involved.  Full medical, three weeks vacation, and 401k with 25% match.
