Sourcing Manager, Vending

General Summary:


Responsible for the execution of Family Dollar's Strategic Sourcing Process and specifically program management of all corporate store level vending programs.  This includes operation management of existing programs, expansion of pilot programs and strategic development of new opportunities.  Such programs include, but are not limited to, bulk candy, kiddie rides, ATM machines, bill payment kiosks, drink machines and lottery kiosks.


 


Principal Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Create and manage strategic project work plans.

  • Program manage the execution of existing vending programs insuring continuous revenue streams.

  • Program manage the execution of new vending opportunities driving incremental revenue.

  • Interface with key stakeholders on progress, barriers and new opportunities to deliver expected results.

  • Responsible for leading key strategic projects for the Procurement organization by managing project execution activities using industry best practices and managing the relationship between the Procurement organization and key business subject matter experts, the project team and other support roles.

  • Develop total cost of ownership baselines for products and services.

  • Perform supply market research and create and analyze RFP's; structure complex problem solving approaches; draw conclusions and develop preliminary recommendations.

  • Develop sourcing strategies and execute supplier negotiation strategies.

  • Negotiate procurement of goods and/or services by properly balancing considerations of price, quality, service, delivery, payment terms and commercial situations.

  • Understand client agenda and change readiness and effectively contribute to the implementation of change management communication for client groups.

  • Identify, develop, and manage strategic business relationships, internal and external, to ensure the alignment of buying processes.

  • Develop comprehensive industry knowledge of best practices, processes and technology trends.

  • Complete contract development when necessary and facilitate review through legal department resources.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:


  • Regular working hours; 40-45 hours per week; office environment

  • Potential Travel required to complete job tasks


Minimum Requirements:


Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Business or other quantitative discipline


Experience: 3 to 6 years experience in strategic sourcing, procurement or project management.  Experience specific to program management of vending operations preferred.  Strong Project Management experience in multi-phase projects.  Excellent written and verbal communication and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


Software: Microsoft Office Application Proficiency; MS Visio and Project experience preferred.
