Healthways is currently seeking a full time senior contracts specialist, focusing on contract administration and management as well as compliance. As part of the corporate legal department for a publicly traded company, the successful candidate will support the Vice President - General Counsel and other contracting colleagues in the management and compliance of all customer and vendor contracts. Within this department, the colleague will have access to invaluable learning in a dynamic organization and contact with top industry professionals in addition to the executive management of the company. Similarly, this position would offer an unmatched view of the healthcare industry from the prospective of the nation's leader in well-being. Responsibilities: - Responsible for the reviewing, analyzing, drafting, or editing agreements, licenses, or contractor with customer or vendors
- Participates in the development and fulfillment of contract requirements in the purchase or sale of products or services.
- Interfaces with department managers to evaluate and implement contract compliance.
- Requests and updates amendments or extensions to contract terms.
- Advises and trains internal departments on contractual rights and obligations.
- Prepares, edits, and updates specifications and requirements included in requests for proposals (RFPs).
- Participates in contract negotiation conversations with customers and vendors and has the responsibility to translate terms into a written contract.
- Administrator of company's contract management system
• Bachelors degree required • 5-7 years experience in contracting, finance, account management, or equivalent analytical role • Paralegal certification a plus or equivalent experience preferred • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required. • Strong orientation to detail and ability to work in an environment that tolerates minimal errors. • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. • Ability to work independently and as a team member, while using discretion in decision-making and sound judgment in problem-solving • Organizational proficiency and expertise, as well as the ability to work simultaneously on multiple tasks • Computer literacy, including all Microsoft Office Products • Healthcare industry experience a plus.
