Our client, a major international investment bank is seeking an Analyst for its Trades Support area in Jersey City, NJ.

This is a consulting position. You will be employed by Mandrill Staffing & Placement to work at our client's offices from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for the duration of the assignment, which is expected to last through February.


    The rate for this position is $26.15 an hour for regular hours and $39.23 for hours over 40 worked in a given week.


    Responsibilities


    In this position, you will:


    • Perform trade reconciliation (position and money balances) of domestic and international trading activity for client average price accounts

    • Address inbound requests (via team hotline or distribution group) from clients, operations and business unit in a timely and accurate manner

    • Liaise with members of the settlements team to process post settlement corrections to resolve failing trades

    • Log daily updates for international fails

    • Conduct root cause analysis to correct operational inefficiencies

    • Interface with and understand all facets of the operations so the team may serve as a centralized point of contact for operational inquiries

    • Learn proficiency on various internal operating systems to support the firm's domestic and international trade processing responsibilities

    • Participate in project work to develop processes or enhance controls

    • Adhere to the team's written polices and procedures

    • Undertake project work on an ad hoc basis

     


    Requirements

    • Be attentive to detail and accuracy

    • Have the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels within the organization

    • Be able to function well in a high-pressure environment and prioritize work accordingly

    • Have excellent client service skills

    Education/Experience Needed




    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university

    • Previous experience is preferred

    • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel and Microsoft Word
