Time Warner Cable West Region currently seeks a Retail Account Specialist for our Lake Elsinore office in our Marketing and Sales Department. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Retail Account Specialist will be responsible for an integrated marketing effort including detailing and merchandising, retailer training, assisted sales, special events and sales promotion.
The goal of the program is to build strong relationships with both national and independent retail partners and in turn drive sales and market share of Time Warner Cable services.
Key responsibilities consist of building relationships with Time Warner Cable partners and vendors, retail store managers and sales associates and the community; training store employees, organization of demonstration launches for local retailers; product and demonstration unit detailing; data collection and reporting; and participation in
weekly conference calls/meetings.


PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Merchandising - Merchandise broadband kiosk displays in the stores, ensure all materials are fulfilled and demonstration kiosk are operating properly. Ensure that stores are properly supplied with product collateral and fulfill retail agreements.
2. Training - Provide presentations to retail managers and store associates to educate and train retail sales representatives in the sale and promotion of our
product line. May occur outside normal business hours or on weekends.
3. Relationships - Build and maintain relationships with store management and associates.
4. Customer Service Issues - Provide superior customer service by resolving billing and/or service problems for assigned accounts and their customers.
5. Store Visits/Reporting - Make documented visits, in person, with all assigned retail accounts on a weekly basis.
6. Special Events - Work special events on an as needed basis.
7. Assisted Sales - Provide assisted sales support to stores at peak sales dates and times, which are generally on weekends and some evenings.
8. Attend Meetings - Attend regularly scheduled sales meetings as required by supervisor at the division office.
9. Personal Development & Knowledge - Maintain professional and technical knowledge through ongoing professional development, networks, training and professional publications; benchmarking state-of-the-art selling practices.
10. Sales Goals - Contribute to the division team effort by accomplishing sales results for all product lines as planned. Achieve objectives through meeting visit,
merchandising, training and sales quotas.
11. Field/Job Expectations - Expected to be in field 90% of the time.
12. Other duties as assigned.


REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
This position reports to the Manager of Alternative Sales Channels. There are no positions supervised by this position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years retail / sales experience.
  • 1-2 years related product experience.
  • Tech savvy and knowledgeable about technologies.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient with broadband services and an enthusiast.
  • Ability to train and convey knowledge of residential broadband technology.
  • Ability to travel within designated market.
  • Strong time management.
  • Detail oriented (ability to maintain organized documentation, capture consumer and retailer feedback).
  • Ability to identify opportunities and create added value.
  • Must exhibit work qualities that are team and customer oriented; with an enthusiastic approach toward work.
  • Proficient in English, bilingual Spanish a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Access, or equivalent software.
  • Strong verbal and written communications necessary to deliver group-based training. Must demonstrate confidence in speaking to large groups.
  • Competencies needed: Customer service orientation, initiative, self-motivator, integrity, persuasiveness/sales ability, risk taking, tenacity, communications, and energy and has a sense of urgency.

  • No substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
  • Shift is Wednesday through Sunday, evening, weekend and overtime hours may be required.
  • Requires travel and use of personal vehicle to retail locations.
  • Requires standing, bending, stooping, walking, lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • General office machines such as typewriters, personal computers, printers, copiers, fax machines, calculators, telephones, etc.
  • VDT glare screen and wrist rest.
