Scientific Assistant - Specialty Crop Tissue Culture Specialist. An opportunity is available to develop and use tissue culture methods to create perennial specialty crops free of destructive plant viruses. This critical position joins a team that is a leading developer of virus-free fruit trees, grapes and hops in the U.S. The position will use existing methods of meristematic cell culture and will develop and evaluate new techniques to obtain pathogen-free plants. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in plant biology or related field and six (6) years of related professional research experience to include three (3) years of experience in plant tissue culture, OR, Master's degree in plant biology or related field and three (3) years of experience in plant tissue culture.
