Specialty Gas Lab Technician

TWSCO is a full-service Industrial and Specialty Gas distributor serving the Houston area.  Currently we have an immediate need for an experienced Lab Technician.

As a Lab Technician, you will be working in very organized, clean, and newly constructed specialty gas lab with new instrumentation equipment.  Job requirements include but are not limited to ordering specialty gases from supply vendors, tracking gas levels, coordinating reorder points, bake-outs, filling, analyzing, labeling, palletizing cylinders, and occasional product transfers via a forklift.

Minimum Experience & Requirements:

• Prior Specialty Gas handling experiences a must.
• Gravimetric blending experience.
• Gas Chromatograph experience. Analyzing and understanding Specialty Gas PPM.
• Oxygen analyzer, Hydrocarbon analyzer, and Moisture analyzer experience in PPM.
• Ability to independently fill UHP Gases, which consists of problem solving and ability to meet UHP Specifications.
• Excellent Organizational skills.
• Excellent Computer skills (MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and lab related software).
• Excellent Communication skills (written, verbal, and telephone).
• Self-Motivated and Self-Starter, ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Horiba Co and Co2 Analyzer
• Aqua Volt+ Meeco Moisture Analyzer
• Servomex 5200 Multipurpose Oxygen Analyzer
• Baseline-Mocon Series 8800 Hydrocarbon Analyzer
