Speech and Language Pathologist 

 

Merrimack Special Education Collaborative (MSEC) has SLP opportunities to join our Chelmsford area speech & language therapy team.

  • Evaluates students and develops goals and objectives as part of the Individual Education Plan (IEP) Team.
  • Implements treatment plan. 
  • Delivers services in an integrated therapies approach with consultation to classroom staff.
  • Consults with students’ caregivers as deemed necessary by the program manager.
  • Attends IEP meetings and other student meetings as needed.
  • Collects data on student progress, writes evaluations and quarterly progress reports.
  • Attends all staff meetings, weekly team meetings for each classroom, and training deemed appropriate by program manager or therapy team leader.
  • Supervises fellow therapists during Clinical Fellowship Year when so directed.
  • All other duties as assigned by the therapy team leader.
  • Some travel between local schools may be required.

 

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Pathology.
  • Licensed in Massachusetts as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • May be in process of completing Clinical Fellowship Year under the supervision of a certified Speech-Language Pathologist (ASHA accredited program Certificate of Clinical Competence).

·         Demonstrated ability to approach difficult youngsters in a creative and thoughtful manner
