Sprinkler Service Supervisor

What you will do

The Service Supervisor is part of our Fire Sprinkler Business with Johnson Controls. Due to our growth we are adding this supervisor role onto our team. This person will oversee the daily activities of servicing our customer's Fire Sprinkler needs in the local Cincinnati area. Mentor and coach a team of Fitters. Travel to visit our customers. Ideal candidate will have Nicet II or III certification in Water Based Sprinkler Systems, have strong product knowledge, and at a level where currently in a supervisory position or ready to move into this type of role.

How you will do it

• The Service Supervisor is responsible for the proper planning, coordination, execution, and follow-up for the service team in an assigned territory. They will liaise between customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our services and solutions. Ensuring that customer needs are met, and improve the overall customer experience • Oversees and directs the Service Fitter team to deliver emergency and repair services to customers in the most effective and productive manner • Establish and maintain positive client relationships in collaboration with senior management, sales, construction, and all other team members as needed • Manage on-call schedules, emergency response, and follow-up on field assigned tasks to ensure that they are done in an efficient and timely manner • The Service Supervisor is responsible for customer satisfaction, retention of service contracts, on-call profitability and revenue as well as creating growth and fostering long-term relationships enabling sales of new service and systems • The Service Supervisor is responsible for the coordination and assignment of personnel and materials necessary for prompt repair of fire sprinkler, fire pumps and backflows. • Develops and builds on current capabilities to prepare team members for successful performance • Establish manpower requirements and hiring to ensure sufficient staff for timely response to customers • Manage open tasks and monthly revenue volume in accordance with financial planning • Collaborate with the sales team, to provide guidance on pricing and proposals • Understand contract requirements, deliverables, and customer expectations in order to manage on-call work • Keep informed on profitability, revenue, bill rates, and timely payment of invoices • Work to resolve invoice disputes • Operate as the lead point of contact for any matters related to emergencies and repair work • Responsible for ensuring a cohesive and effective delivery approach of services including sub-contractors, after hours support, and emergency procedures • Adhere to Johnson Controls policies, procedures, programs, safety practices, and services.

What we look for

Preferred Education: • High School Education or Equivalent. • Nicet II Water Based Sprinkler System certification preferred, Nicet III certification is a plus • State of Ohio Sprinkler Licenses Required. Kentucky would be a plus. Experience: • Minimum 5 years of experience conducting repairs, inspections, and construction of fire sprinkler systems or

comparable services • Ability to consistently meet and exceed customer expectations • Ensure account profitability and ability to effectively build relationships • Prior field supervisory and or management experience • Ability to work with remote employees • Understanding of matrix driven environment Skills: • Proven supervisor experience with an ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, partners, and sub-contractors simultaneously • Knowledge of Johnson Controls product lines, processes and services a plus • Strong organizational, financial, analytical, and problem solving skills • Excellent computer and data analysis skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite • Demonstrated leadership abilities to include the following key behaviors: Action oriented, results driven, customer focused, effective communication, ability to build effective cross-functional teams, organizational agility, interpersonal skills, conflict management, team leadership.
