Sr. Accountant, Int'l Acct & Consolidation/South America

This Senior Accountant will provide accounting support for the South American region and will  assist with the consolidations of this region, financial statement review and analytics and will be the primary contact with the local accounting teams.
 
CPA or in process of obtaining CPA, required.
Public Accounting experience required
 
Travel requirement for this position is approximately 40%, primarily to South America

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Analyze monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet and & P&L analytics submitted by the region). Analyze financial information to explain variances and interpret results.
Ensure financial reviews are documented including comments and follow-up actions needed. Provide accounting expertise to assist other areas in understanding financial information. Communicate financial results to operations personnel and other levels of management in a clear manner.
Provide client assistance needed by auditors for quarterly and yearly review.
Ensure month end financial close and reporting in accordance with
established timelines.
Ensure requests for information from internal and external auditors is accurate and provided on schedule.
Ensure Accounting Policies are being followed by the local accounting teams.
Reconcile and audit Balance Sheet Accounts.
Assist direct supervisor with on-boarding acquisition accounting practices and assessing current financial situation
