Position Description

Sr. Accountant

MUST HAVES:

•    Either Manufacturing or Commercial Accounting experience
•    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
•    5-10 years of Accounting experience with increasing levels of responsibility
•    Audit, analysis and general ledger experience
•    Willingness to work overtime when necessary

NICE TO HAVES:

•    CPA
•    Experience with SEC reporting, tax reporting, accounts payable, fixed assets, and an Oracle general ledger system is helpful
•    Knowledge of consolidation accounting (frequent) and foreign currency
•    Technical accounting experience
•    Cash flow experience

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This position is responsible for performing a number of accounting functions related to assisting with the general ledger month-end close process. They will also serve as the accounting sponsor in support of various cost centers; assisting cost center managers with explanation of results, forecasts, and budgets.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Prepares income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements, and various other accounting statements and reports
•    Analyzes financial reports and records, making recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures
•    Develops accounting schedules
•    Prepares comparative internal financial statements and other financial reports
•    Assists with required support for external audits
•    Provides assistance with Sarbanes-Oxley initiatives as required and other duties as assigned
•    Reviews and verifies the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records
•  Coordinates accounting matters with other departments and locations
