THIS IS AN IMMEDIATE NEED FOR A SR. APPLICATION DEVELOPER / ARCHITECT AT A MAJOR UTILITY COMPANY IN NY.

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualified candidates must be skilled in MS DotNet Studio, VB.Net, Sql Server 2005, VB6, and Crystal Reports. They must be very experienced in system architecture, system development, and database development. Excellent inter-personal, oral and written communication, problem-solving, and technical flexibility skills are a must. Absolute integrity, in everything he or she undertakes, must be demonstrated at all times. 
 
ASSIGNMENT:
 
This individual will be responsible for on-going technical support and enhancements on the Remote Metering, Meter Calibration, Remote Trap Monitoring, and Inside Customer Premises Job Tracking Applications. The functions within these applications range from real-time remote customer data collection and managment, remote meter configuration, and Steam metering calibration to Work Tracking tasks. The applications are complex; some in VB6 with major portions currently being re-developed in VB.net.

The systems associated with this assignment are very critical. If there is an emergency situation (blackout, company disaster, etc) the person in this assignment must be willing to work extended hours. The candidate must be willing to learn and understand the users* business. The candidate will primarily work at the midtown New York City location and may also be expected to meet with business users or work at different work locations in Manhattan occasionally.
