Sr. BIM/IPD Integration Manager

Job Summary
The role of the BIM/IPD Integration Manger will be to lead and develop the implementation of BIM technologies within the organization. The BIM/IPD Integration Manager will be integral in the development of marketing the associated services, integrate into pre-construction processes, and also implement into project operations through training and assessment of appropriate software and services. Can be based in either the Charlotte or Chicago Office.

Responsibilities


BIM/IPD Role:
1. Leads BIM/IPD effort on large projects or group of smaller projects - Includes personal administration and staffing activities, establishing objectives, providing technical direction and support, employee development), of BIM coordinators and other project staff who need to be proficient with BIM/IPD.
2. Develop job-specific BIM/IPD implementation plans and strategies, including staffing and hardware cost forecasts for projects.
3. Ability to produce quantity takeoff extraction, clash detection, 4D simulation, logistics and safety planning
4. Collaborates and communicates with Technical Services Estimating department to deliver BIMs for quantity takeoff and to interface with MC2 estimating platforms.
5. Collaborates with Sustainability team to incorporate BIM into sustainable practices.
6. Preside over Big Room" regular session and teach others that expertise.

BIM Software:
1. Research, stay informed and report on BIM related software, and how it operates with existing systems.
2. Implement industry best practices and promote the use of new technologies throughout Bovis and its Clients.
3. Manage software, libraries, licenses, templates, etc.
4. Organize reference materials to incorporate best practices, building case studies and resources for use in internal business strategy discussions.
5. Conduct internal training on Revit & BIM/IPD concepts, as well as Navisworks for integration with project teams.

Management:
1. Facilitate BIM/IPD Team meetings and help to create and manage a team of BIM/IPD champions
2. Take an active role in the PPM process to develop and mentor subordinates towards a successful career in the company.

Project Procurement:
1. Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development in the pursuit of new work.
2. Ability to make oral presentations in front of prospective clients.
3. Ability to respond in writing to specific items contained within RFP's.
4. Ability to maintain relationships with engineers, architects and clients after project completion.


Minimum Requirements
1. Four-year Engineering or Architectural Degree plus 7-10 years of BIM related Construction experience preferred.
2. Extensive experience in similar discipline - construction estimating, drafting, logistics and related functions plus through knowledge of corporate objectives impacting estimating, estimating strategies, and techniques and construction contracts required.
3. Knowledgeable about a variety of construction techniques.
4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
