Sr. Business Analyst

Senior Business Analyst
The senior business analyst must have a stable work history that includes five (5) years of business or systems analysis experience in a corporate environment. Candidate must have demonstrated health care knowledge and project management experience. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or technical training equivalent is required. Technical skills required are proficiency in MS Office, MS Project and other Windows based applications. Refer to G.1 Senior Business Analyst Skill Set Matrix for additional technology/processes and software skills.
While facilitating analysis and documentation during the development life cycle, for the project identified above, the required deliverables for the senior business analysts will include, but not be limited to, the following tasks:
Definition and documentation of business requirements necessary to support the software development.
Facilitate design sessions to verify and communicate functional requirements.
Developing test plans and scripts to test the functionality that was designed and execute the acceptance testing process to ensure compliance with requested functionality.
Participating in and conducting business process testing of the functionality once development ends.
Coordinating and organizing User Acceptance Testing with QA, business users, and project sponsor.
Define the scope of functional testing in testing outlines as well as author complete testing scenarios.
Responsibilities for this assignment may include:
Create as well as obtain business and technical approval and sign off of Scope and Functional Specification documentation. This includes data flows, Use Case diagrams, User Interface diagrams, business rules, workflow processes, and business flow diagrams. Experience in using ClearCase and ClearQuest. In addition, the business analyst is responsible for identifying data elements, default behavior of each data element and events trigger by each component that is part of the design.
Determining estimates for analysis, scope document, functional design documentation, design sessions, testing preparation and scenario development, and user documentation.
Meeting with business system users to analyze business needs and/or system issues to determine the need for enhancements or automation.

Working directly with operational teams to define and gather high-level business requirements.
Preparing Project Scope documentation including project descriptions, success factors, requirements, risk assessments, etc. for the projects that have been assigned.
Meeting with the business users and project sponsors and obtain sign off on the project scope.
Based upon approved Project Scope documentation and interviews with business representatives, preparing a Functional Specifications document that includes detailed descriptions of the required functionality, process flows, use cases, workflow maps and sample graphic user interface detailing and accounting for all aspects of the desired functionality.
Facilitating design reviews with the business user and project sponsors to present functional design and obtain sign off.

Customer interaction will be a critical aspect of this assignment. The senior business analyst will be required to work with the business user during the definition of requirements, during the User Acceptance testing, and all aspects of the development life cycle. This assignment requires an innovative individual who can interact and communicate with others to translate business requirements into functional specifications that will be given to developers to code.
