While this is mainly a C/C++ shop and experience with the development of highly scalable and fault tolerant distributed systems/applications with C/C++ on Unix systems in a multithreaded environment is the basic requirement, Java is also a big plus as this team is also working quite a bit with Java.

Qualified candidates will also be strong with SQL and know at least one RDBMS, preferably Oracle. Experience with stored procedures and advanced queueing is a plus. Knowledge of Linux and Unix internals is a plus.
