THE OPPORTUNITY: Sr CM Analyst/Technical Writer

LOCATION: Fort Meade, MD 20755








Job Description and Responsibilities :







The Configuration Manager/Tech Writer is responsible for e stablishing procedures for and implementing the introduction of changes to engineering documents for the Contra/Octave project. Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities. Ensures that customer requirements are implemented and reviews change accounting activity to ensure compliance with configuration management policies. Works with developers to draft, edit, control system engineering and software development documentation to include but not limited to: software design specification; ICD; test plan & report; glossary of terms; classification guide/appendix; database schema/dictionary; Operations Manual to include troubleshooting & disaster recovery guides; Input as necessary and capable for ISSO actions; Input as necessary and capable for acquisition actions; Wiki project page; briefing material.







Required Skills & Experience :



* Must have experience in maintaining baselines



* Experience in version control processes and data management



* Experience with performing software builds and releases



* 4+ years experience with software configuration management automated systems and QA programs



* 2+ years experience with engineering architecture design and baseline audit/control techniques



* 4+ years e xperience in technical writing



* 4+ years experience in using word processing/desktop publishing, spreadsheets and graphic presentation programs



Qualified applicants may be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for access to classified information. U.S. Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with FSP are required.





Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical discipline; or equivalent work experience.
