Job Title: Sr. Clinical Project Manager/Clinical Project Manager

Department: Clinical Operations

Reports To: Associate Director of Clinical Operations

Summary: Responsible for planning and executing operational aspects of clinical research. This may encompass single or multiple studies/ projects.  He or she will work closely with various individuals & departments internally and externally. He or she may be directly responsible for managing individuals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1.  Facilitate team coordination and work flow for projects

2.  Monitor project timelines and resources available

3.  Communicate up-to-date information regarding project progress to all relevant interested parties, including Senior Management

4.  Obtain and negotiate contracts with vendors for content and pricing

5.  Lead project team meetings

6.  Assist in protocol development and CRF design

7. Perform site visits as needed

Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Qualification/Requirements

·         Effective communication and interpersonal skills

·         Attention to detail

·         Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple assignments

·         Knowledgeable about GCP & ICH and FDA regulations

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team

·         Experience managing project budgets

·         Must be able and willing to travel approx. 30% per year. (International and Domestic)

Education/Training/Experience

·         Bachelor’s to advanced degree in science.

·         4-6 years clinical research experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

·         Experience in multiple therapeutic areas desirable.

·         Possess full working knowledge of all required clinical study tasks and elements from study initiation through completion.

·         Management experience.
