Uline seeks a Sr. Cognos Developer at its Corporate Headquarters in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin (south of Milwaukee).

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain Cognos reporting, querying and analysis solutions.
• Work closely with database and reporting technicians to build and support the information environment.
• Collect and analyze information requirements from users; translate those needs into effective solutions and clearly communicate that information to technicians.
• Own and support Uline Internal Applications.
• Develop, maintain and manage Cognos Cubes, Transformer Models, Framework Manager Models and Reports.
• Build prototype solutions based on initial business requirements.
• Provide status on issues and progress of key business projects.
• Maintain information in Uline’s Data Dictionary.
• Develop and implement reports / queries to help drive business processes.
• Support and advise DBA’s on proper database security models.
• Fill ad-hoc data and reporting requests.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5+ years SQL Development on multiple DB Platforms (SQL Server, DB2, Oracle, Sybase, mySQL.
• 4+ years experience with Cognos version 7 and 8.
• MS Access and Excel reporting preferred.
• Experience with Open Source solutions (BIRT, Talend, Jaspersoft, Pentaho), Data Modeling, SQL Server Reporting / Integration Service and AS/400 (IBM System i) environment a plus.
