SR. COMPUTER SYSTEMS ANALYST
LOCATION: Washington, DC

AMDEX Corporation is seeking exceptional candidates for an exciting position supporting the field operations as a Network / LAN Administrator and Engineer. This position will support the field operations at the headquarters of a high profile federal agency, which is responsible for the protection of our nation's borders. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a challenging and fast-paced environment supporting a large-scale government operation.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose hardware and software problems and replace defeective components; maintain hardware and software
• Install local area networks, desktop systems, software, and hardware, as well as providing techincal support and troubleshooting customer problems at the user's desk and/or over the phone
• Monitor network servers to ensure availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network system availability
• May supervise other network support and client server specialists and plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures
• Plan and implement the appropriate server back up strategy, software installations, system upgrades/modifications, etc.
• Provide information system solutions and technical support for the following: personal computer/client server support, systems programming, applications design and development, database design and administration, telecommunications and network support and administration
• Hardware / Software: Dell workstations running Windows 2000, NT & XP; Outlook and Exchange 2003 servers; Active Directory

 Requirements

• Experience with Backup Exec, ArcServ, MS Exchange 2003, Active Directory, and Windows NT/2000/2003 server desired
• MCSE certification strongly preferred
• US Citizenship and the ability to successfully pass a Law Enforcement Agency and financial Background Investigation to obtain a Security Clearance
