Provides legal advice and consultation to the Company's franchise development function. Negotiates and drafts related legal documentation. Oversees in-house personnel and outside lawyers providing support to these departments. Provides legal advice and documentation for compliance with franchise reporting requirements.
Basic Requirements:
* Law Degree and excellent credentials from a respected law school and undergraduate institution
* Seven (7) years of experience in a franchise practice
* Franchise law experience required, including substantial first chair interaction with corporate franchise executives.
* Licensed to practice law within at least one U.S. jurisdiction
* Compliance with the requirements for in-house practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia
* Must be in a good standing with the federal courts as well as with the state courts and bar authorities where he/she is licensed to practice.
Preferred Experience:
* Experience in corporation's hospitality
* Hotel industry experience
* Bi-lingual (Spanish or Portuguese)
