Job Title: Sr. DB2 UDB DBA (AIX and Mainframe)
Duration: Open Ended

Description
Candidate will work with the other DBA Group Lead and the Project Leader for the assigned project.
Strong Data warehouse, UDB, DB2, and experience with mainframe is a must.
At least 12 to 15 years experience as a DBA
Primary Responsibilities:
-Conduct performance monitoring and optimize physical design for various DB access methods for DB2.
-Hands on SQL for DB2.
-Perform capacity planning activities as related to database storage
-Assist with the Mainframe production support, including participation in production on call rotation.
-Experience with Mainframe tools, programs, utilities as well as DBA tools, i.e.; ISPF, Clist, DFDSS/ABARS, Omegamon for IMS, Cobol, CICS, MQSeries, Librarian, Erwin, DBArtsisan
-Works closely with Data Architects, ETL team, application development and information delivery teams.
-Suggests and implements departmental standards and procedures for Database administration.
-Work with database vendors and external support on issues such as upgrades, technical problems and solutions
-Develops, tests and implements backup and recovery strategy
-Follows division’s change control and application deployment and access control procedures.
-Develops database monitoring procedures and utilities.
-Coordinate with other DBA’s/teams on infrastructure enhancements or large development projects

Experience Required
-Eight to Nine years experience in AIX Database Administration for UDB
-Five to Eight years experience in Mainframe Database Administration for DB2
-Participation on larger projects that require understanding of a software development life cycle and methodology.
-At least four to five years experience in the design, development and support of both large OLTP and Data Warehousing related databases and applications.
-Good Written and Verbal skills
-Works well with teams
