Overall Responsibilities: The person will be responsible for: • Understand system processes, analyze data feeds and reporting for other key LCD systems as required. • Understand the financial/client/account data and trade life cycle and relationships in order to perform data analysis. • Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis queries as requested by project team leader, business users, and/or senior management alike. • Maintain knowledge of Mantas business scenarios and how they are implemented. • Utilize Mantas Data Miner tools and any other necessary tools necessary for performing daily maintenance and project implementation for the Mantas Trade Surveillance program. • Maintains the project file and all required technical documentation. • Identify risks and incorporate appropriate technical solutions within the project plan. • Possess mastery of advanced IT concepts, principles, methods, and practices, automated system development methodologies and tools. • Possess implementation experience with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and in-house software and components; • Coordinates with Business Architecture Analyst, Data Architect and the Enterprise Architecture team to align business and technical standards and policies Functional Responsibilities: • must be aware of financial industries business knowledge globally (APAC, EU, US). Knowledge of trade data is an essential. • Good understanding of securities trading life cycle. Including product knowledge in Equities, Fixed Income, and Derivatives. • Candidate must have deep understanding of all phases and requirements of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). • Candidate must have at least an intermediate understanding of enterprise architecture, and of the integration of business processes and information systems required to meet strategic objectives • Candidate must have a deep understanding of the business-driven nature of IT projects and environments • Candidate must have at least 2-3 years professional experience working with SQL, Java,JDBC with particular focus on Web Services and related technologies including XML, XSL, XSD, UDDI, WSDL and SOAP • Candidate must have programmatic fluency in standard scripting languages such as PERL and/or Shell Plus • Candidate must have strong verbal, written and analytical skills, preferably with prior industry experience in a consultative position. •Candidate must be able to learn quickly and perform at a high level with minimum supervision. • Experience in working with global teams on global projects • Ensures commitments are met and sets appropriate expectations
