Sr. Developer/Developer -JAVA
(Web Services and Java Experience)

*** Please note this will only be a W2 contract opportunity in down town Seattle, WA. The position is an onsite position (no telecommuting). I would like to note that expenses for interviews/relocation will not be covered by the company and will have to be at your own expense.
Qualification
- Deep technical knowledge of Java, with working knowledge of C# and
the ability to deliver high quality results.
- Solid hands-on programming experience in Java and Web Services
- Experience with User Interface (UX), Usability design, Windows
Forms. XAML, UI markup languages are a plus.
- Self-starter - able to work independently, be self-motivated and team
player.
- Successful candidates must be enthusiastic about translating
ambiguous requirements to working software solutions
- Participate/Familiar in Agile Scrum development process.
- Proactively detect and resolve issues in a high quality and professional
manner.
- Proficient in scripting languages (i.e. Unix shells, JavaScript, Perl,
and/or PowerShell)
- Five (5) or more years of practical Software Design or Development
experience in Java and knowledge of C# a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve thru excellent
analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and a data driven focus.
- Experience with mission critical/high availability systems
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrates excellent process, documentation, team management
and problem-solving skills
Desirable
- Deployment, configuration IIS, Apache Tomcat, etc
- UML knowledge preferable and comfortable understanding of
architecture documents and diagrams (OO design)
- Experience with doing Automated System Deployment using scripting
desirable
- Knowledge of JUNIT. Develop automated unit tests, load tests in java,
C# experience a plus, and various scripting languages.
- Knowledge of LoadRunner
- Develop and document test engineering best practices
- Assist with integrating test into release process
- Ability to work in a Unix Environment
- Write and execute functional BVTs
- Proficient in writing and understanding SQL queries
- Experience and specific accomplishments in improving software
quality, engineering efficiency
- Experience with scalable distributed systems is a positive
- Having shipped a product is a big plus
