·         The consultant will be expected to apply their understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, drug discovery process, scientific knowledge and computer science techniques to solve real world scientific problems

·         Provide front line scientific/informatics support to the pharmaceutical research community, acting as a key access point into Discovery Information

·         Responsible for performing delivery of Science Desk services regionally and contributes to training and awareness activities at the local site

·         Resolve scientific questions and perform training regarding the use of scientific applications

·         Train scientists and raise their awareness on appropriate Informatics tools

·         Act as first point of contact for queries related to scientific technology platforms, products & services, performing troubleshooting and problem solving

·          Promote optimal Informatics use and optimal utilisation of data, information and knowledge

Requirements:

·         Degree in Life Science/Informatics, or equivalent scientific experience

·         Strong understanding of Biology

·         Strong understanding of Bioinformatics - the use of computer and informational techniques, applied to a range of problems in the field of biology

·         2 -4 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech or technology industries
