Sr. Director Advanced Marketing

Job Purpose/Role
The Senior Director, Advanced Markets position is responsible for the strategic direction of Allianz Life’s Advanced Markets Group, creating industry-leading content and expertise. This individual will oversee the development, promotion, utilization and quality of our advanced markets tools and services. This individual will manage the Advanced Markets team and resources reporting to the VP, Consumer Marketing and Solutions. The incumbent will interact with leaders from within Allianz Life (Distribution, Marketing, Compliance) and external partners including FMO and B/D principals.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead Advanced Markets team (4-6 direct reports)
• Oversee the development of the annual plan for program content
• Represent AZL Advanced Markets Group at field meetings and industry conferences
• Work with Distribution to identify critical sales needs that require advanced markets tools/services
• Serve as subject matter expert for life insurance

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

Required:
College Degree
Series 7, 24, 63, and life insurance licenses
One or more of the following certifications -- CLU, CFP, ChFC

Preferred:
At least one of the following -- CPA, JD, MBA



Work Experience

• 10+ years financial services industry experience
• Demonstrated success in sales or sales consulting role
• Minimum of 3 years experience training agents and/or financial advisors on financial planning concepts, sales strategies and product solutions
• Experience leading individuals with high degree of technical knowledge


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Deep understanding of financial planning concepts with demonstrated success in translating them into marketing strategies
• Deep understanding of annuity and life insurance products with applicable licensing
• Outstanding presentation skills
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Proven skills in influencing and collaboration
