We are in search of a Sr. Director of New Products Marketing. The Sr. Director of New Products Marketing leads the new product management process working with cross functional teams within the organization. The Sr. Director of New Products Marketing utilizes customer insights, customer data, internal sales data, macroeconomic data and product development work to develop marketing strategies that drive sales and build our brand equity. This position requires a disciplined analytical and process approach, but an ideal candidate will also need to bring an entrepreneurial and creative mindset to succeed.
FOCUS:
People
- Lead direct reports and gain crucial support from key department personnel while leading cross functional team efforts in the product management process.
Product
- Work closely with product development team to meet and exceed customer expectations for our food.
Place
- Contribute to marketing team’s effort for constant improvement of the customer experience in our stores.
Customer Service
- Lead customer feedback efforts with oversight of Speaker of the House and ongoing communication of customer feedback data to organization.
Sales & Profit
- Work to improve product quality, product offerings, customer experience and marketing efficiencies that will increase customer traffic, sales and profit margin.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Marketing Product/Program team with oversight of Program Manager and Speaker of the House
- Manage overall new product and program calendar process in collaboration with marketing and operations to ensure timely and high quality development and introduction of all new food related programs.
- Lead our consumer insights and internal research process to continually assess and improve our product offerings versus customer expectations and competition
- Partner with operations/product development to continually assess and optimize our menu offerings
- Develop marketing program strategies and communicate to internal and external creative teams
- Lead cross-functional Menu Team and direct all major food initiatives
- Utilize internal financial analysis, competitive pricing and customer insights to build pricing models and optimize menu efficiency.
- Oversee customer service feedback system and internal customer service reporting

- Strategic leader with high level of analytical capability and ability to apply analysis to meet business goals
- Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced, rapidly growing environment including management of timelines, budgets, priorities and resource plans (utilizing internal and external personnel)
- High level of creativity and understanding of creative process
- A energetic leader who can get the most out of people and build a strong team
- Ability to understand how to assess the impact of programs and initiatives
- Very strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Quick learner with a can-do attitude
- Basic understanding of database management and project management software
- Proficiency of Microsoft Office software – Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Education:
- BA Degree in Marketing, MBA preferred
Experience :
- 7-10 years marketing experience
- Prior new products development and customer insights experience strongly desired
- Restaurant industry experience or other retail multi-unit experience a definite plus
- Demonstrated experience leading new product development process
- Broad range of knowledge and experience in consumer brand marketing, communications, merchandising, direct marketing, public relations, promotions, program/product development and consumer insights
- Have led cross-functional teams
