THE OPPORTUNITY: Sr Electrical Engineer II

LOCATION: Forest, MS 39074







Job Description:



The candidate would be responsible for both the technical and project management duties associated with the building and sustainment of Automated Special Test Equipment (STE) used in the testing of military Radio/tactical communication equipment and Radar systems/subassemblies . Typical technical duties include the design, construction, and checkout of test fixtures, adaptation, and related software. The job would also require the generation of test set drawings, interconnect diagrams, and test procedures. The individual would be expected to provide technical assistance/training to technicians for test fault isolation and repair. Project management responsibilities include writing proposals for new business and tracking cost and schedule for ongoing projects.



Required Skills: Fifteen or more years experience in production test and measurements processes for RF, Microwave, and IF to Digital conversion utilizing modern automated test instruments and computer controlled testing systems. Strong knowledge of RF receiver designs and performance measurements is required. Candidate should have good technical grounding in radar digital signal processing and the use of digital receiver technology. Experience with software development languages such as FORTRAN, C, and C++ is required. Candidate should also have experience with software applications such as National Instruments LabView, LabWindows, and Test Stand. Proven supervisory experience in team lead /project manager role on hardware/software development tasks associated with test implementations and test station integration. Ability to gain secret clearance required.



Desired Skills: Expertise in Software applications for RADAR, RF, Microwave circuit measurements and evaluation techniques, such as FFT processing and SNR evaluation. Experience using MatLab for data analysis. Work and/or design experience with RF/IF signal processing and high speed signal processing hardware is desirable. Knowledge of IEEE 488, VXI/VME, bus arbitrators, and computer interface protocols when implemented in automated test systems is highly desirable. Use of CAD simulators, such as Matlab, PSPICE, Touchstone or other RF circuit simulation tools is desired. System test experience with airborne and/or ground-based RADAR (X-Band preferred) desired. Familiarity with electronically scanned arrays is highly desirable. Existing Clearance is highly desirable.
