Job Description:



The individual will be integral in the design, development, integration, and sustaining of special test equipment (STE) to be used for engineering and manufacturing. Solve various electronic interface problems and design electronic circuitry with test equipment used in the development and production of various products. The candidate must have the ability to work in a multidiscipline team environment and take on technical responsibility as the need arises. Provide technical solutions to a wide range of technical problems that are imaginative, thorough and practicable. Work under general direction while independently completing tasks on time and within budget. Participate in design reviews to ensure good technical solutions utilizing the application of technical standards, principles, theories, and concepts.







With minimal supervision, plan and perform test assignments involving definition of test and verification requirements, plans and sequences relative to complex software and hardware subsystems and resolve identified conflicting issues. Utilize a broad knowledge of precedents in test engineering and apply understanding of principles of related engineering and to ensure test validity and integrity. General supervision is received from a designated supervisor. Guidance received relates primarily to general objectives and details of unusual situations and /or requirements.







The qualified candidate will also be expected to conform to a process driven environment following procedures and practices established to guide an engineer through the different phases of test equipment implementation including design, fabrication, documentation and support









Basic Qualifications:

- Minimum of 6 years of experience in electrical design and development

- Must have at least 2 years experience in processor designs

- Must be able to troubleshoot hardware interfaces with analog and digital

- Have a working knowledge of PC hardware, operating systems, networking, and CAE tools

- Must be able to troubleshoot, test, integrate, and sustain test equipment

- Must have good communication skills and demonstrated experience working in an integrated team environment

- Must have experience preparing and presenting reports and briefings both orally and written

Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance











Desired Skills:

- JTAG experience

- Experience in design and development of low level circuit boards

- Six Sigma certification

- Active Secret clearance









Required Education (including Major): Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related scientific discipline
