Senior Engineer – Electrical/I&C

Pall Research and Development has an opening for a Senior Engineer in the Systems Standardization Group, which develops filtration and separations systems for a wide-range of markets.  These include drinking water, petrochemicals, food & beverage, and other process industries.  In this position you will lead the project team in designing PLC-based electrical control systems.

The key responsibilities for the position are:

• Select electrical equipment and instruments and prepare component specifications based on project P&ID and other design documents.
• Provide technical submittals, support the project schedule, supervise and approve design drawings, calculations, equipment specifications, and instructions and other documents required by the project specifications.
• Generate Bills of Material to support project manufacturing.
• Assist in system start-up and commissioning.
• Act as the focal point for technical correspondence on projects, including communication with customer, consultants, contractors, vendors and internal project team.
• Create electrical standards for global use throughout Pall Corporation.

Strong computer skills are required.  The ability to work on multiple projects at once and completer on schedule is essential.  Good interpersonal skills required, in addition to being results oriented, creative and self-motivated.  Some travel (up to 10%, some international) may be required.

The successful candidate will possess a BSEE, BSET, or equivalent engineering degree.  A minimum of two years of experience required and five years preferred in the following areas:  Hazardous area classifications per NEC and ATEX; CSA/ATEX/IEC/CE standards and ratings; UL508A; NFPA 70 (NEC) and 79; PLC architecture, preferably Allen Bradley, Modicon, and Siemens; selection of pressure/temperature/flow/analytical instrumentation.
