Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a talented Senior IT Operations Engineer who will have a wide breadth of experience across a number of platforms and technology areas and support our US Operations.

You will also be responsible for:

• Strong problem solving ability to quickly identify and resolve issue at root level across computing platforms (e.g. Unix, Windows) and Oracle DB environment. Work with users to resolve issues escalated from the Help Desk related to all aspects of infrastructure environment.
• Actively work with monitoring tools and develop scripts to maintain optimal proactive monitoring of systems and services including disk, CPU, memory, and network utilization to minimize downtime and increase resource efficiencies
• Initiates preventive maintenance on the operating systems as well as repair to system problems
• Must support and exhibit thorough planning and testing for change implementation around servers and systems
• Work to automate management tasks, streamline processes and perform standard administration functions as needed.

Still Interested? The best candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology along with a minimum of five (5) years of professional systems maintenance experience in a UNIX data center environment with an in-depth knowledge and experience in support Linux and Oracle DB environments. We also expect you to have a good working knowledge in JBoss and Web services as well as TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS. Finally you will also need to have experience in the proactive monitoring of server and application environments using Open NMS and MS SCOM. A thorough knowledge of system administration principles is also required.

We would prefer you to have the following skill sets:

• Working experience with Apache Web
• Working experience with SAP
• Knowledge of Citrix administration or similar terminal service environments
• Knowledge of Onbase or other document storage environments and
• LINUX or RedHat Certified Sys Admin Certification or ITIL v.3 foundation Certifications
