Description:
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
The candidate in this position will be required to respond to Security and IT engineering assignments by applying broad technical expertise to develop solutions to problems that require creativity and ingenuity. Individual will represent the organization as a customer contact and interface with military and government personnel, associate contractors, and the home office on a regular basis in support of the GDAIS programs at Naval Base Kitsap, Bangor.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES (Security):
- Manage site Security Standard Practices documentation
- Perform annual self inspections and prepare for DSS inspections
- Act as Information Security Manager (NISPOM) for site operations
- Manage classified documentation, software and security containers
- Facilitate government programs; CAC authorizations, Trusted Agent, card reader & key lock access, courier cards, camera passes and Limited Area access
- Ensure all security operations, policies and procedures are carried out and enforced in accordance with department and government standards
- Demonstrated experience in security standards for building design, upgrade and/or renovation phases

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES (IT):
- Networking including LAN, voice & data, security, firewalls, cabling and installations in support of 20+ computers
- Manage/Support file and web server, Apache HTTP Server, MySQL database and PHP Hypertext Preprocessor
- Administer SharePoint site
- Coordinate SW changes
- Manage site visit requests
- Coordinate visitor needs; PIN access, CPU resources and network access

Additionally, the selected candidate may function as a member on various teams within the GDAIS programs providing assistance in the areas of equipment installation, test, repair, upgrade, maintenance, logistics and documentation.

Qualifications:
- BS in IT or related field (computer science) with 6 years experience or 8 years related experience.
- Microsoft System Administration experience (MCSA preferred), Cisco Network Administration experience (CCNA preferred)
- Electrical or Mechanical Engineering experience
- Current knowledge of network security trends and best security practices
- Hands on working knowledge of TCP/IP and network protocols, network operations and monitoring, firewalls, routers, switches, hubs and capable of supporting IAT Level 1 responsibilities.
- NISPOM experience
- Security+ training
