About the Job

MCS Kenny, a Wood Group Company, is actively seeking a mechanical engineer with at least 10 years subsea riser construction and installation experience. MCS Kenny delivers effective engineering solutions for the subsea industry; from optimizing subsea layouts to detailed design of subsea equipment, our independence, objectivity and experienced engineers assures a 'best for project' solution every time.

The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of engineering experience with technical design basis, construction, and installation of subsea production riser equipment connected back to a floating production facility.  A working knowledge of production riser industry standards is required. Candidate should be able to demonstrate specific expertise in fabrication processes, welding, testing, inspection and offshore installation of catenary risers (SCRs, flexibles, and umbilical systems).  Familiarization with top tensioned, dry tree risers and tensioning systems is desirable.

Candidate should have an understanding of the application of the API RP 2RD specification and referenced codes as they relate to riser fabrication and installation. Company is seeking an engineer with direct experience with compliance issues associated with the Codes of Federal Regulations Title 30 CFR § 250 and all sub sections prescribed for fabrication and installation of production risers and associated equipment. Candidate should be prepared to interface with Federal regulatory agencies on behalf of the company. Riser fabrication experience should include some direct knowledge of typical riser supplier production processes (management of change, factory and systems acceptance testing, inspection planning, design approval processes and drawing reviews).  Additional experience is desirable in the area of design-for-manufacture, welding & materials testing standards. Candidate should have some project team lead experience in some of the aforementioned areas and be able to direct engineering, inspection and project controls support staff, including subcontractors. Familiarization with the following design codes is desirable: API 5L, API 5CT, API ASME Section VIII, ANSI/AWS D1.1/D1.1M:2010, ISO 10423/API 6A, ISO 13628-7:2005/API 17G, and API 1104.

MCS Kenny offers competitive salaries, med/den/vision insurance benefits, matching 401k and a generous vacation/sick time off schedule.

Only resumes with direct Riser Experience will be considered.
