Job Description

Plans and implements engineering change requests for new product development, customer specified specials, and continuous improvement projects.

Major Duties/Functions:

  • Manages engineering change request and notification process by interfacing with other functional groups and global manufacturing sites.
  • Creates engineering changes requests and coordinate change impact analysis with affected functional groups and global sites.
  • Assigns engineering change notification tasks and monitor to completion.
  • Manage part and product platform phase in/phase out complexity to minimum cost and service level impact.
  • Create and maintain product configuration documents based on design requirements provide by subject matter expert.
  • Coordinates resolution of problem reports and change requests related to product configuration documents.
  • Creates and tracks metrics for engineering change process performance.
  • Coordinates engineering review of customer specified specials quotations.
  • Initiates creation of design control documentation for customer specified specials.
  • Prioritize and manage production implementation of customer specified specials

Key skills:

Individual must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Must have strong project management and organizational skills.  Must have excellent computer skills and ability to analyze data to make sound business decisions.  Must have the ability to create documents and visuals to communicate changes to peers and management in the organization.    Materials experience and/or product knowledge are helpful.

Job Requirement

Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related field required. Minimum of four (4) years related experience required.
