RTSC is currently seeking Sr. Field Engineers for a one year OCONUS deployment with duty assignments within U.S. Military Bases in Iraq and/or Afghanistan. These individuals will provide Systems Integration/Operations and Maintenance and personnel shall maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade systems hardware and software to ensure total operational and functional compatibility with interfacing/interacting systems, subsystems, equipment, and computer applications. These systems include Windows Based Active Directory Domains, Video Surveillance Software, and Video over IP (Multicast & Unicast based) streams. Sr. Field Engineers will also support on the job training of additional O&M personnel, contractors and military personnel. The individual shall support 24/7 operation and perform the tasks associated with manning and operating the system. They must be able to learn quickly, be a team player, and have good communication (writing and oral) skills. The individual will be working to support the program in a variety of tasks as required. Required Skills: - Willing to deploy and work with U.S. Military Force for 1 year. Candidate will be also required to travel to other locations within the Area of Responsibility (AOR) as required for short duration surge support. - Meet medical screening requirements for OCONUS deployment. - Experience and knowledge of Windows XP and Windows Server 2003, Microsoft Media Services and Microsoft Media Encoders. - Basic Knowledge of Storage Area Network Environments - Familiar with DISA/NSA network security requirements and Information Assurance procedures and guidelines as well as government system accreditation guidelines - Must have at least 4 years of qualifying experience. - Must have existing DOD Secret Clearance or higher. Education Requirement (including Major): - Minimum Degree: Bachelors of Science degree with 4 years qualifying experience, or an Associates Degree and 8 years experience, or High School with 12 years qualifying experience. - Majors: Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering or related fields - Experience can substitute for educational requirements Desired Skills: - Expert in Microsoft Systems to include Domain Management, 64-bit operating systems and applications, Windows Media Services, MPEG2, MPEG4-part 10, H.264 and VC1 CODEC's . - MCSE 2003 - Knowledge of IBM Blade systems and Storage Area Networks - CCNA / CCNP a plus. - Knowledge of Solaris based systems a plus. - Microwave experience is a plus. - Prior military experience is not necessary but is strongly desired Raytheon is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, disability, or Vietnam era, or other eligible veteran status, or any other protected factor.
