Field Marketing Manager (position is in Chicago, IL)
Field Marketing Manager will report to the Director, US Enterprise Field Marketing with a strong dotted line into a field AVP. The FMM will be located in the Area they support (Central) and will cover both Enterprise Sales and Channel sales activities.
Specifically:
• Work as key member of the AVP’s team and work alongside Regional Channel and Enterprise Sales Teams, to manage Field Marketing activities for the area including:
* Lead-generation campaigns – training sales teams on campaigns, driving teams to participate and respond to leads, and tracking effectiveness
* Events (Juniper events, trade shows, industry conferences and external speaking opportunities for enterprise markets) – helping organize Juniper sales participation in events and getting sales teams to drive attendance
* Voice of the Field – provide critical input to core marketing teams to help influence program design based on realities in the field
• Work with Regional Channel Team to manage Channel Marketing activities in region, including:
* Marketing relationship and creation of marketing plan with key channel partners (distributors and resellers)
* Implementation and creation of channel programs to drive end user sales of networking & Security solutions in both enterprise and service provider markets.
* Increase effectiveness of channel through training, communication and incentive programs
* Utilize partner communications to increase brand awareness of Juniper Networks
* Management of Marketing Development Funds for key regional and national partners
Experience & Skills Required:
• At least 8 years experience in an IT industry and familiarity with Enterprise Networking market
• Must have experience in Field and Channel Marketing
• Experience in the full spectrum of the marketing communications mix
• Good personal communication and presentation skills are essential
• Experience working in service provider market would be desirable but not essential
• Be a self-starter, highly motivated with a positive attitude
• Possess the ability to prioritize activities in support of marketing and sales objectives (must be able to strike the right balance between achieving Americas marketing objectives and supporting local sales initiatives – this is where experience, confidence and maturity will be most critical)
