Sr Finance Manager, Treasury

The scope of this position will include pieces of all aspects of the treasury function at Amazon.com.  The position is critical to the continued success of Amazon Treasury in that it is the key point of contact for numerous internal and external relationships (including Corp. Acctg., FP&A, Tax, Legal, etc. as well as external banking and investment management relationships).  This position will interact with all members of the group and project and process work will make up a large part of this position.  This role will be expected to spend the initial part of their time learning all aspects of treasury within Amazon.com, then will systematically work to improve process, enhance relationships, and drive cost savings through innovation and efficiency.  This position has a great deal of international focus, and some international travel is possible.

Primary Functions:

• Perform capital structure analysis on Amazon versus peers taking into consideration short, medium and long-term operating considerations
• Participate in corporate finance activities, including company's financing activities including preparation and review of agreements and covenant compliance
• Maintain reporting packages related to cash and investment performance attributes and returns, as well as treasury related statistical metrics
• Cross train and participate in global cash positioning, foreign exchange hedging, and other related treasury functions
• Participate in the development of foreign currency hedging projects
• Ad hoc treasury projects/analysis

Requirements:

• MBA preferred, CTP/CFA preferred, but not required
• 3+ years of  corporate treasury experience
• 7+ years of overall corporate finance experience, including management experience
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem solving skills
• Strong excel modeling skills, including Visual Basic
