POSITION DESCRIPTION
Sr. Financial Analyst - Direct Finance

FUNCTION
Responsible for analytical support to functional departments on a regular and as-requested basis in order to support the key management personnel’s decisions.


LOCATION: Fort Wayne, IN
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Note: Other duties may be assigned)

• Work closely with business segment to provide support in planning, budgeting and analysis of actual results
• Monitor actual results with plan to identify risk and initiatives to address gaps in total and by region
• Create ad hoc informational queries or reports as necessary
• Anticipate reporting requirements necessary to ensure timely business decisions are made based on business needs
• Provide direction to Financial Analysts I and II to ensure effective delivery of information:
o Responsible for the process of gathering functional requirements
o Provide direction to IT in developing technical requirements and ensure that information requests requiring technical assistance are executed in a timely manner
o Understand what information is available, how to get to it, and how to apply it to offer business solutions
• Make recommendations to Finance and functional management based on data gathering and analysis regarding business needs, both long and short term
• Analyze complex financial data and summarize findings in reports for distribution to a wide range of recipients
• Collaborate with internal Finance department to provide ad-hoc reporting in support of sales, margin, and operational goals
• Analysis as needed to help support business decisions


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.  CPA or MBA preferred.
• 5+ years finance or accounting experience
• Experience with Reporting Databases such as SAP BW, Business Objects or Crystal Reports preferred
