Description:
Paramount Pictures has an opening for a Sr. Financial Analyst reporting to the Director, Motion Picture Group.

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
* Preparation of monthly financial reports which present the revenues and costs resulting from the exploitation of Paramount's motion picture products. The reports are also submitted as part of Paramount's group reporting to Viacom.
* Preparation of schedules to explain variances between actual monthly revenues and costs compared to estimates included in the Company's financial plan.
* Perform monthly amortization which includes film inventory amortization and accrual of participation and residual costs for all film titles.
* Calculate monthly film accruals for domestic theatrical revenue, print and advertising costs.
* Preparation of quarterly schedules submitted to Viacom for use in drafting the Management Discussion and Analysis sections of Viacom's Forms 10-K and 10-Q, as well as related reporting schedules.
* Preparation of certain quarterly balance sheet schedules and reconciliation and responsibility for balance sheet accounts. Additionally, this position is also responsible for assisting in the preparation of the CFO-Quarterly balance sheet deck.
* Performs a daily reconciliation of revenues and costs as reported in the general ledger, in certain Impromptu Reports from FIS and in the HFM Silverbook.
* Performs monthly rebate allocation and annual rebate analysis based on the guidance set out in individual agreements.
* Assists with external auditor requests and in-house SOX requests.
* Other ad-hoc projects related to Motion Picture Group.

Qualifications:
Basic qualifications:
* Minimum 3 years experience in Finance or Accounting

Desired skills:
* CPA preferred
* Knowledge in advanced MS excel
* Good oral and written communication skills
* Strong analytical skills
* Ability and flexibility to meet tight deadlines particularly during monthly and quarterly close
