Position Description

Sr Financial/Business Analyst

The Senior Financial Analyst role is responsible for conducting or assisting in the documentation of complex financial analysis projects.
This position is working on the Account Integrity Project and is responsible for developing an access database to reconcile all of the balance sheet accounts (the database has a starting point but is not going in the right direction) so it will need to be modified extensively in order to become accurate and efficient.

This position will work with the Account Integrity Project Manager to assess the database "as is"(which consist of thousands of rows of data from all Lines of Business) to determine the current process and conduct a gap analysis to identify what improvements need to be made in order for the database to function accurately without errors.

Other Responsibilities include:
1. Data collection, organization, and analysis.
2. Financial forecasting and modeling.
3. Maintains journal or subsidiary ledgers.
4. Analyzes and reconciles accounts with operating unit reports.
5. Special analytical projects.
6. Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Experience and skills requirements:

 Previous work experience in the finance Services industry
 Must have very strong Problem solving skills
 Must have extensive experience with improving and streamlining processes
 Must have strong Access skills with the ability to develop and modify an access database.
 Excellent Communication skills
 Strong analytical skills including the ability to manage and organize data, draw valid conclusions from data through analysis
 Ability to communicate methodology and conclusions to senior management
 Effective management skills
 Ability to prioritize and to work independently
 Ability to use mathematical techniques for forecasting.
