Job Description

·         This position will demand a high degree of intellectual curiosity. We are a startup so we are inventing as we go along.

·         You will need to tackle interesting and complex challenges from design through production.

·         We will need you to:

o        Collaborate as one of the best of the best inside of the development team

o        Work with the project team to define requirements and estimate completion times

o        Take lead on the analysis, design,code testing, and implementingour embedded applications

§         Design embedded systems using low power processors

§         Design with ultra-miniature electronic components

§         Integrate software with associated hardware

§         Develop test methods for all aspects of product

§         Contribute to project document reviews, and design/code reviews.

§         Incorporate Architectural Standards into application design specification

o        Assist with developing code, including the following aspects of code development: architecture, implementation, debugging, documentation, and maintenance.

o        Independently design hardware, integrate the software and test major features, as well as work jointly with other team members to deliver complex projects

o        Use agile development processes

o        Go home each day knowing you impact the future of payments and our company

We are looking for:

·         Previous start-up experience

·         Proven ability to:

o        Collaborate inside a team of 3-5+ developers

o        Build efficient electronic circuits

o        Develop new ideas and creative solutions

o        Work successfully in an ambiguous environment

o        Meet tight deadlines, multi-task, and prioritize workload

o        Communicate with colleagues in both business and technical roles

o        Research independently and initiative to learn new skills and keep current with technological developments

o        Manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously and drive projects to completion

·         A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations

·         Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

·         Customer focus and professional demeanor

Required Skills and Experience

·         5-8+ years of experience developing embedded products and associated hardware integration

·         3-5+ years of experience focusing on consumer type products

·         3-5+ years of experience in hardware and firmware engineering

·         Strong background in all aspects of product development lifecycle, including project management

·         Experience with MSP430 processor family a plus

Required Education

·         Bachelors in Electronics Engineering or related field OR equivalent experience required

·         MS in appropriate field preferred
