Sr. Hardware Test Engineer
Modis is looking for a Sr. Hardware Test Engineer with a Networking background. This is a long term contract and is ready to start 11/9. Responsibilities:
•Performs complex testing tasks requiring planning, scheduling and extensive troubleshooting; provides in-depth defect characterization.
•Expert in technical subject matter and customer workflows, allowing high- value ad hoc testing and set up of complicated test configurations (such as networking). Suggests test direction & provides status reports.
•Performs engineering design and development tasks including test script development.
•Involved in the investigation & resolution of problems.
•Actively participate in developing & improving existing testing. technologies, including methods, approaches & execution
•Manages small - medium projects and teams of technicians or test/development engineers.
•Operates as a Test Lead for Software/Firmware.
•Responsible for interfacing with Engineers regarding project direction.
•May act as QE providing project test plans, managing project scheduling in the absence of QE.
•Interfaces with R&D development teams to determine requirements and improve test effectiveness.
•Provides leadership, direction and strategy on technical issues to staff.
•Responsible for overall project management providing timely, quality deliverables and status reporting.
•Promotes strong communication.
