Job Title:  Sr. IPS Business Process Analyst

 

Position Description:

Provide business process and system integration expertise for the construction and services business area, and will act as a liaison between the business areas and the technical group. The Business Process Analyst will identify workable solutions using existing functionality in the existing applications and/or drive the decision for new enhancements. This will include  high level integrated review of all business areas impacted, documentation of the “End to End” process, including business controls and security, and the monitoring of the enhancement/customization throughout the application development lifecycle.

 

Functional Liaison Responsibilities:

·          Works with functional/ business customers to prioritize and proactively manage the demand and related system development activities.

·          Work within IPS to prioritize IPS development and supporting resource work.

·          Will oversee design and deployment of Construction and Services application portfolio.

·          Acts as a point of contact for construction and services related requests in support of the business groups.

·          Ensures construction and services applications are consistent with KBR’s defined portfolio roadmaps and standards.

 

Functional Application Portfolio and Lifecycle Management:

·          Partners with internal customers to drive process improvement activities and create global standards.

·          Defines the criteria for an effective application lifecycle management process.

 

Business Requirement Analysis and Functional Support:

·          Translate business requirements into functional specifications and high-level solutions designs (with a detailed analysis of the system, processes and procedures)

·          Responsible for ongoing support of functional applications, including problem diagnosis, configuration and triaging to the appropriate resolution resource.

·          Works with functional customers to plan and execute user acceptance testing of new solutions and/ or enhancements improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the business processes.

·          Works with “super users” in the business to support end users on an ad hoc basis, develop training material and deploy solutions.

·          Provides on going assessments for improvement to application design

·          Identify the issues with the system and/ or data by running SQL queries.

·          Develops the test plans for the solutions identified, and tests the application features prior to deployment to production.

·          Helps setting up required interfacing systems for proper functioning of the application related to data flow.

·          Works with the business and the technical development resource to understand and articulate the business issues and/ or requirements, and provide proposed business solutions from the application perspective.    

 

Requirements:

·          5-7 years of work experience in the business process analyst role.

·          Extensive knowledge of IPS work processes and policies.

·          Extensive knowledge of construction and services business process and practices.

·          Strong teamwork skills, conflict management skills, facillitation of teams/ groups, presentation skills, abillity to drive and obtain consensus.

·          Broad knowledge iof the business process, internal controls and system flows.

·          The ability to mutitask and manage time independently with little direction.

·          The ability to translate business requirements into language appropriate for software functional specifications.

·          Ability to understand SQL and.Net

·          Familiarity with setting up and troubleshooting of batch/scheduled processes.

·          Ability to work in a global company.

·          Good communication skills, the ability to work cordially in a team environment, and the desire to learn.
