Description:
Volt Technical Resources is currently recruiting for a Sr. IT Architect for a long term contract with a Global Enterprise Company in the East Valley.

The Sr. IT Architect will be responsible for the following:


  • Evaluate middleware systems specifications for complex business requirements, develops and prepares foundational specifications and production ready solutions.

  • Provide integrated systems planning and recommends new or different technologies which will enhance current systems and support overall corporate and business goals.

  • Provide in-depth technical consultation to customers and IT Management to ensure development of efficient Middleware environments utilize established standards, required compliance baselines, procedures and methodologies including appropriate supporting technical documentation.

  • Determine and implements the most efficient and cost effective solution leveraging existing and new tools and development methods (e.g. codes new or modified programs, reuses existing code through the use of program development software alternatives or integrates purchased solutions).

  • Resource will acts as a liaison between Design and Engineering teams, Build and Support teams and at times Application Developers.

  • Verify program logic and build integrity by preparing trial runs in lab environment.

  • Works with Architects and Engineers, Build and Support Middleware Engineers, Corporate Engineering resources, and as appropriate Application Teams in the testing and debugging of Middleware

  • In conjunction with operations area technical staff, supports the implementation of the application into production.

  • Receive general supervision, and is competent to work at the highest level of technical phases of programming while working on own most of the time.

  • Successful candidates will have a broad range of technology experience, be results-oriented, have a proven track record of developing and maintaining complex enterprise applications in an iterative process and have experience performing system integration with operational management and/or provisioning systems.




Requirements:
Skills should include:


  • Strong experience implementing J2EE Middleware (e.g. BEA WebLogic and IBM WebSphere) environments.

  • Recent experience with automating the installation and/or configuration of vended/open source middleware products

  • Strong Object-Oriented analysis and design skills (Domain-Driven design is a plus)

  • Full life cycle development experience, design/development/testing. Experience with Ant, Maven, Cruise Control/Anthill Pro or similar products.

  • Expert knowledge of software development practices using Python (Jython/IronPython experience is a plus), and/or similar high-level, interpreted imperative languages, such as Ruby, Perl and Groovy.

  • Experienced practitioner of test-driven development. Experience with xUnit, Fit/Fitnesse, or similar is a plus.

  • Experience applying Agile/Lean practices is a "nice to have"
