Sr. IT Auditor – Any US City, USA
Summary:
This is a senior auditor position responsible for participating in all aspects of SAS 70 audit service delivery. This position reports to an Audit Manager. The nature of this position requires inside contact with company employees at all levels, as well as contact with client representatives and other business-related representatives. The ideal candidate will have “Big 4” experience providing services to clients in the finance, operations, and/or high-tech industries
Job Description:
• Lead, develop, maintain, participate and manage SAS 70 audit engagements with the team and clients to create plans for accomplishing engagement objectives
• Assist in the continuous improvement of the company’s internal and external business processes
• Maintain relationships with client management to ensure expectations of service
• Ability to clearly communicate information security and technology issues to all levels of client personnel on both a formal and informal basis
• Evaluate IT general and application controls
• Provide IT controls guidance with respect to client information systems, technology architecture, and security
• Assist in planning work on assigned segments of an audit
• Prepare acceptable working papers that record and summarize data on the assigned audit segment
• Prepare audit reports and other related deliverables and communicate issues to audit management and client management
• Meet expectations for attendance and punctuality
• Out-of-town travel is estimated at approximately 50% and is heavily dependent on the candidate’s location and the level of demand in that location.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business management or other relevant subject area
• Minimum of two (2) years related experience within professional services in financial auditing, operations auditing, information systems auditing, internal auditing, information security consulting and/or risk consulting
• Achieved at least the “senior” auditor/consultant level at a prior employer
• Demonstrates entrepreneurial abilities, client focus, industry savvy and the ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and interpersonal characteristics
• Ability to operate in a dynamic environment
• Willingness to pursue and maintain relevant professional certifications (e.g. CPA, CISA, CIA, CISSP)
• Ability to perform work with little or no supervision
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail
• High proficiency in all Microsoft Office products
• Prior “Big 4” experience preferred
