IT Infrastructure Architect reporting to Director, Technical Architecture.  Responsibilities include;
*Proven record in integrated approach to large applications and technology platforms design, implementation, operations and production support

* Extensive knowledge in operating systems including Microsoft Windows, Linux, Solaris, and AIX and relevant technologies

* Experience developing and modeling ASP and BPO architectural solutions
* Strong skills in Internet architectures including SMTP, Web server hosting, and Internet security

* Proven ability to influence and persuade decision-makers and colleagues, for example gaining acceptance of a recommended approach or strategy, securing investment for projects or initiatives which may not otherwise have been approved.
* Significant network, application, or infrastructure architecture experience

* Knowledge of emerging technology solutions, industry trends, and progressive operations methodology
*Design and document infrastructure for network, server, storage, backup and security systems, including system architecture, network and physical security design, backup and monitoring design.
*Provide troubleshooting Tier 3 support for systems operations
*Conduct infrastructure capacity and performance analysis. Develop solutions to assure system availability and performance aligned to Service Level metrics including Disaster Recovery SLAs.
*Translate vendor specifications into appropriate system designs, incorporating knowledge of current and future business requirements.
*Execute problem management practices in accordance with ITIL processes and identify opportunities to lower operational costs by simplifying systems and processes.

* Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively using concise and unambiguous language, both in writing and verbally, in a variety of settings including telephone conferences, formal presentations to large groups, less formal meetings, and written reports

* Experience in working with multinational autonomous technology teams located in different countries. Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with senior management, and business teams is a requirement

* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

* A self motivated team player with good oral and written communication skills

*Identify emerging technologies and their applicability within the Ingenix lines of business.




Deliverable responsibilities include:
- Infrastructure requirements, high-level execution architecture design, technical architecture specification

- Detail design, build, and testing of architecture base services

- White papers on design approaches and software evaluation

- Contribution to planning and execution of performance test
- Review and integration of all service delivery requirements, including functional, security, performance, quality, and operations requirements into architecture services design

- Support of the development teams and other architecture teams
 


QUALIFICATIONS:
 
7 or more years in IT infrastructure/operations with 3 or more years in high-level problem solving and network systems, and technical design experience and demonstrated experience in working with co-location, or decentralized data center environments. Wide range and in depth experience and understanding of infrastructure analysis, design, implementation and support. Experience with the following technologies: Network routing and switching, network and operating system security, Windows, Linux, Solaris, and AIX server operating systems, SNMP, Storage systems (SAN and NAS), Firewalls, Load balancers, clustering, IDS, and IPS.
 
- Relevant Bachelors Degree such as Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Proficient problem solving and fact finding skills
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to define the complete technical infrastructure environment
- Ability to maintain current knowledge of all relevant technology developments and seek opportunities to deploy new technologies that benefit the client
- Ability to provide technical leadership on project engagement, including serving as a resource to the project team and the client by evaluating and proposing technical alternatives for resolving business and technology issues
- Ability to create architecture scope, definition, construction, and execution
- Ability to design and develop cost effective solutions that meet functional, technical, and performance requirements
- Ability to provide technical leadership to project resources and the client to meet project deadlines and ensure that project objectives are met 
- Ability to review ongoing and proposed projects to identify opportunities for reuse and process improvement 
- Ability to review technical documentation to verify compliance with client requirements and established architectural standards and guidelines
- Experience with internet, client server, object-oriented and multi-tier implementations, and business intelligence / data warehouse technologies
- Health Care industry experience is a plus
