The primary responsibility of this position is to support the Industrial Engineering Department with detailed research and analysis of all plant areas for the purpose of reducing manufacturing costs and improving efficiencies, developing opportunities into projects, and leading and tracking improvements. This role will be proficient in MARS SNACKFOOD US business systems and will use that skill set to assist in proper analysis and problem resolution.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, analyze, monitor, and report site Key Performance Indicators (KPI) performance and lead mitigation activities to achieve and exceed target performance

  • Develop supply responses for activity management process and lead site change control process

  • Perform area/system reliability analysis and improvements

  • Develop and monitor labor and wage standards for site, identifying and mitigating adverse performance to plan

  • Maintain key operational performance parameters, including (but not limited to) asset bottleneck and efficiency data

  • Manage continuous improvement efforts, self-identified or assigned, to deliver cost savings, optimize service and cost in a dynamic environment, and meet business commitments

 
Provide Technical support for:
Project justifications
Waste and rework trending
Reliability and utilization reporting
Labor cost reporting & analysis
Simulation modeling and layout analysis
Shift pattern optimization and scheduling
Asset utilization analysis
Support the auditing of static and transactional data 
Perform follow-up activities to correct errors in reporting and procedures
Lean activities and lean operating system

  • Familiarity with plant operations and comfort in a high speed manufacturing department

  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills

  • Excellent organization and time management skills


Minimum Qualifications
1 year of high speed manufacturing experience or equivalent internship work with a demonstrated ability and desire to work with people, both individually as well as in teams

An undergraduate degree in a Technical or Business Related field
Ability to learn, understand and analyze data from a variety of business systems
Successful completion of a drug and background screening
 
Preferred Qualifications
2+ year of high speed manufacturing experience or equivalent internship work with a demonstrated ability and desire to work with people, both individually as well as in teams
Broad understanding of major functions within a manufacturing plant and the ability to work directly with individuals at all levels and functions
Lean and/or Six Sigma skill set
