Position Description

Sr. Inventory Analyst

KEYS:
Must be bilingual - English/Spanish
Must have a 4 years degree - Business, Accounting or related field
Must have  5-7 years recent exp. with inventory within manufacturing, distribution and/or food/produce environments 
Must have advanced level skills with Excel - formulas, look ups, etc...
Must have AS400 exp - exp. using, training and/or developing on an AS400 platform, exp. with Microsoft Suite - advanced ability to use and demonstrate proficiency with MS Office Applications to analyze and troubleshoot inventory discrepancies, develop and use spreadsheets, statistical analysis and trends - SQL, Access, etc...
Proven leadership to be able to identify areas and make recommendations for improvements on various processes and strategies
Ability to train and improve the skill level of internal and external users of the system as needed
Must have exp. dealing with different levels of management and excellent presentation skills - ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels of the organization - ability to build and maintain cross functional working relationships in a team environment
Must be highly analytical (strong analytical skills), detail oriented, problem solver, proactive (seeks opportunities), good people skills, embrace change, process improvement and want to be challenged everyday - ability to analyze data timely, efficiently, effectively and multi-task projects/assignments simultaneously
Ability to deal with changing objectives, deadlines and priorities beyond one's control - ability to remain calm and unemotional in stressful situation
Must have the ability to travel as needed for training and support - occasional travel to Mexico plant and field distribution centers - CO, NJ, TX, IL, GA, WA

DUTIES:
Will report to National Inventory Manager
Responsible for overall planning, managing and maintaining replenishments/inventory for 7 distribution centers
Monitor and adjust the replenishment/inventory of the designated commodity to maintain quality while achieving planned turn over and revenue growth
Manage the age of the fruit including country of origin changes and their impact on storage and transportation requirements
Ensure commodity has desired quality, continuously focus on minimization of aged inventory and diligently work to minimize commodity obsolescence
Replenish from multiple sources simultaneously (import and domestic fruit)
Continuously assist in system development and improvement of the overall national replenishment/inventory program and process
Work on a daily basis with the Sales Dept to develop and maintain an accurate forecast
Analyze the direction of sourcing and its impact on the future sales forecast
Create and update production/packing schedules for CA and Mexican Packing plants/facilities
Proactively communicate with the sourcing, sales, operations and logistic/transportation departments including the forward distribution center managers to maximize profitability based on fruit price, transportation cost, forecasted projections and fruit availability
Analyze sales and replenishment level/system to reflect the sales trend, presentation standards and quality and turnover goals
Perform moderate to complex analyses and management reports on a regular basis including but not limited to the following: inventory, forecast, aging, price changes, production and shipping discrepancies
Act with strong sense of urgency to anticipate internal and external needs
Assume additional responsibilities for training, management of special projects including writing and/or revising SOPs
Perform other duties as directed by reporting manager
