Job Description - Application Architect

Lead technical architecture for various Java Based systems and Service Oriented Platforms.  Responsible for providing technical direction to the development team on various aspects including application architecture, design, data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs. Serves as a hands-on team leader in the integration of solutions and construction of applications. Responsible for detailed documentation of as-is architecture and for new application solutions.

Job Requirements:

Experience in Java J2EE, especially with versions 1.4 and higher. Strong technical knowledge, with hands-on experience in systems development in a variety of computing architectures and environments. Thorough understanding of software development life cycles, development and technology tools, testing methodologies, and requirements gathering. Must have strong technical expertise in the Java J2EE environment, Web development using JSP, JSF, Spring, EJB and other open source technologies, SOA Webservices design and development, UNIX, Windows, MQ Series, UML, Tiered architecture, Relational Databases, and object oriented methodologies. Experience in IBM WebSphere 5.x/6.x and WebSphere Process Server is strongly preferred.
