Program Description:





The National Data Exchange (N-DEx) program is an application that provides a secure system for national criminal justice information sharing that can be used by law enforcement agencies to solve and prevent crime and terrorism and to enhance public safety. It is a pivotal program for the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) and has been touted as the Justice Department National Strategy for Information Sharing. The N-DEx program performs all necessary life-cycle activities that will result in a system to share complete, accurate, timely, and useful information across jurisdictional boundaries and provide new investigative tools that enhance the Nation's ability to fight crime and terrorism. N-DEx is an unclassified web service - centered on J2EE, web applications, COTS integration, Oracle and Autonomy.







Job Description:





Raytheon is seeking a Sr. Java Software Developer to work as part of the N-DEx software development team responsible for full life cycle, enterprise-wide development using standard Java and J2EE/JEE in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Developers will also perform maintenance and support programming as necessary.





Required Skills:



-

Must have a BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field



-

Must have 6+ years standard Java and J2EE/JEE software development experience with progressively increasing responsibility



-



Must have direct experience with Java and J2EE/JEE development including, but not limited, to Servlet and JSP, EJB, JMS, Web Services, and XSLT



-

Must have experience with Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) techniques, including UML



-

Must have solid understanding of Object Oriented design patterns and enterprise design patterns



-

Must have experience developing multi-threaded programs and managing concurrency



-

Must have experience with JVM tuning and memory management



-

Must have experience with dependency injection and the Spring framework



-

Must have the ability to work in a Linux/UNIX environment



-

Must have experience with BEA/Oracle WebLogic



-

Must have strong communication skills and the ability to handle a fast-paced work environment and multitasking



Qualified candidates may be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for access to classified information. U.S. Citizenship is required.
