An immediate full-time opportunity has come available for a Sr. Java Engineer with a top-tier, established, well-known Internet company in the San Gabriel Valley.  We’re seeking seasoned coders who like to stay on the bleeding edge of technology.

You will be responsible for using your advanced knowledge of Java techniques and technologies to develop and program in all tiers where scalability, stability, and performance are key factors for all engineering efforts.  You will use the latest technologies including JDK 1.5 and other leading-edge Web 2.0 programming languages and frameworks such as Spring & Hibernate to do new development, site redesigns and enhancements. Work cross-functionally with our Product Management, QA, and Operations teams to design, develop and deploy applications.

Requirements:

·         4-year degree in Computer Science or similar discipline (equivalent work experience is substitutable)

·         7+ years of software development experience

·         3+ years of experience programming for high-transaction Internet companies

·         Strong knowledge of Java 5, Spring 2.X, and Hibernate 3.X.

·         Background in technologies such as Struts, JSP, & JSF and familiarity with Web-Service-based technologies such as: SOAP/REST.

·         Experience working in Agile-Scrum environments preferred

·         Exposure to Groovy, Ruby or Grails preferred

·         Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven, team environment while working cross-functionally with others.
